What
do you have to hand in at Magdeburg University Library?

to 6 copies of your dissertation (depending on your faculty’s standards),
printed on paper resistant to age, wood-free and
acid-free and solidly bound.
2.1 Please hand in your dissertation with the word-processing program you used:
a) Word for Windows (*.-doc), diagrams either integrated or as external files in formats bmp, wmf, gif, jpeg, eps
b) LaTex (*.tex), diagrams as external files in eps formatc) HTML
d) Other word-processing programs - please save your files in RTF (Rich Text Format)
2.2 In order to publish your dissertation on the internet, it is necessary for you to hand in another version of your work as a PDF file.
Please
use the guidance to create a PDF file.
It is absolutely necessary for you to create bookmarks.
You also need to hand in another PDF file containing your dissertation’s
register.
Please put all your files on a CD-ROM – formatted after ISO 9660 – and hand it in.
3. Forms Please
fill in all spaces in the electronic
form for the collection of bibliographical data (MyMetaMaker), such as the
author, the
dissertation’s title in German and English, the key words (10 at
most, both in German and English), the abstract (50 lines at
most, both in
German and English).
Next, create a meta data
set. Save this set on a disk and hand in this disk along with your dissertation.
This data set serves to
enable search engines to trace your dissertation.
After you have handed in
the printed versions, the CD-ROM and the disk along with the sheet
“Formblatt
für die Abgabe von elektronischen Dissertationen” at Magdeburg University
Library, and after the control was carried out
without complaint, the
responsible library employee will signing the written confirmation from the
faculty.
Afterwards your dissertation will be prepared for online publication.

check the electronic version after publication on correctness and completeness.
